Networking
Integrating Ireland’s regional outreach and development work aims to promote the development of a vibrant representative network of sustainable and active community organisations representing and responding to the needs of asylum seeders, refugees, immigrants and migrants.
To fulfil this aim we work to create networking opportunities for our members on a regular basis – holding meetings at both regional and national level and by fostering networking amongst our members through the exchange of information and good practice.
Networking meeting agendas include updates from all the member groups in the region on their work and announcements on events and publications, inputs and updates on activities of Integrating Ireland as well as presentations or trainings on regional and national issues of interest.
Regional meetings are held in each of the five regional network areas four times a year – rotating in location throughout each region to ensure further local participation.
The organisation also holds a National Forum twice a year in Dublin during the spring and autumn which focuses on a main theme of interest to our members or on key policy or research themes emerging from the work.
These networking events aim to enable
• Membership networking
• Exchange of information and good practice
• Identification of common issues, needs and collective action
• Participation of regional membership in organisational decision-making and policy development, etc.
• Access to Information, Training and support
• National member organisations linking at regional level
• Forum for meeting members for external organisations, etc.
This work also aims to foster the development of partnerships within and beyond the network to offer members information and support and also by providing opportunities for consultation with regional organisations.
We aim to foster relationships with our members and build links with: national member groups; the wider National voluntary, community sector and statutory organisations as well as regional voluntary, community sector and statutory organisations.
We also work to profile and highlight the work of our members and the communities they represent locally and nationally.
